The Possibility Trap

Hello Beautiful Human,

I recently caught on to something my brain was doing – from the outside it looks helpful – but the reality is, it’s slowing down my impact.

Your brain may be doing the same thing…

I’ve been getting exciting about the possibility, sounds good, right?! But… I was failing to take the action to move my desired goal into the zone of inevitabile.

The zone of possibility FEELS different than inevitable.

Loving the possibility looks like open tabs, a new planner, and thinking about taking the action.

The inevitable, the sure things feel less sexy, less exciting.

There is definitely an important role for the zone of possibility. Leadership requires an ability to take impossibile ideas and explore the possibility.

And there comes a point when we need to jump and say, “This IS happening”.

Part of your brain will freak out and say, “But I don’t really know what the outcome will be”. Yes, there is uncertainty in life, but making what’s in your control inevitable is the definition of empowerment.

In the journey from possibility to inevitability you need to grow your skills, develop the internal narrative, and embody the belief that makes the necessary action a no brainer.

It’s a process and a practice. It is the deeper work that happens on the inside to become the effective, reliable, and joyful leader you desire to be.

Be on to yourself when you are getting stuck in the zone of possibility instead of moving to inevitable.

And know that I am with you – also doing the work of pushing myself past my comfort zone of believing in possibility to accessing and working on becoming the next version of myself.
