Stronger than you think
Hello Beautiful Human –
It is easier to take action from your purpose, commitment, love and courage.
From a biological perspective our mind likes to protect us from spending energy on things that we don’t see as “worth it”. Fast results give our brain quick cheap dopamine … But when you are pursuing a big vision of change and impact, more often than not, there is a long winding road of practice, mental fitness, and emotional strength necessary to show up for the bigger vision day in and day out.
When we allow our mind to feed us the thought, “what I do isn’t gonna make a difference”, “Nothing is changing”, and “It isn’t enough” the energy required to take action is often insurmountable, for most.
But then there are some of you, my fierce leaders, who push through anyway, plagued by fear and doubts, you muscle through anyway with the belief, “I have no other choice”.
Trapped. Exhausted. Unwilling to give up. Hoping you know what to do if/when the burnout really takes root. I see you.
My dear. You are already so strong.
It is the cruel thought that what you do doesn’t matter or isn’t enough that is limiting your capacity.
I tell you this, not out of judgement, but with a giant hug that says, I see your emotional and mental exhaustion.

Let me help you find your way back to your inner strength, rooted in joy and empowerment.
The title of this newsletter came from my new strength coach as I added a 10 lbs plate, then another 10 lbs and then finally doubling the weight I thought I was capable of pulling. “You are stronger than you think”.
I have been surprising myself at the gym, surprising myself at the computer, surprising myself as I emotionally regulate and practice the energy of nonviolence even as I face constant horrors here in Minnesota.
We are stronger than we think.
Action taken from clear purpose and aligned emotions is in fact ENERGIZING.
Yes, in the situations that currently drain you, you can find energy.
It is a process.
It is empowerment.
Today, Friday 1/23/26, I will bundle up with thousands of Minnesotans to March in negative temperatures. Wind in my face we walk with dignity, love, and nonviolence.
We stand on the shoulders of courageous humans who have gone before. Regular people who choose courage and commitment like Senator John Lewis, high school student Dorothy Counts-Scoggins, Activist Dolores Huerta and the thousands of change agents that stood by their sides.
Remember your strength.
If you are feeling trapped and exhausted I invite you to book a discovery call. It’s the best way to explore working 1:1 together and get a clear path forward to feeling better and leading better.
The truth is, we all need a coach to pull the best out of us and remind us of our strength.
